Genesis 17:15 The Spirit Of God, Given To Sarai, Counted As Righeousness

Elohim said to Avraham, “As for Sarai your wife, you are not to call her Sarai, her name is to be Sarah.

Previously, God added the Hebrew letter, HEY, to Abram, making his name, Abraham. The letter, HEY, is significant, in that it means that the Breath of God, God's Spirit will dwell in him and his faithful descendants. Here we have Elohim, God, doing the same thing with Sarai, making her name Sarah. From this point on, the Spirit of God dwelled within Abraham and Sarai, making them righteous before God.

This also a rebuttal to the ones, who bring up Romans 3:10, where it says,

"As it is written: There is no one righteous, not even one."

However, They fail to read the following verses, in Romans 3:10-12

"As the Tanakh puts it, "There is no one righteous, not even one! No one understands, no one seeks God, all have turned away and at the same time become useless; there is no one who shows kindness, not a single one!"

Reading Romans 3:10-12, in context, shows that those who do the opposite and seek God are righteous, leading Paul to write, in Romans 4:2-3.

For if Avraham came to be considered righteous by God because of legalistic observances, then he has something to boast about. But this is not how it is before God! For what does the Tanakh say? "Avraham put his trust in God, and it was credited to his account as righteousness."

It's all about putting your trust in God and his Word. His Word manifested in Y'shua, who is the most righteous man, who was obedient and gave his life, for the payment of mankind's sins. Upon putting your trust, in the Lord, you too can have the Breath of God in you and it will be counted as righteousness unto you.

Finally, Abram, which means Exalted Father, became, Abraham, which means Exalted Father of Many, A Multitude, Nations. Sarai, which means princess, became Sarah, which means women of the nobleman. Since, Sarah is married to the nobleman, Abraham, the name Sarah has become to be interpreted as Mother of Many, A Multitude, Nations.

  1. Hi Keith.
Yes, it's all about putting trust in God, but the question is, in WHICH God ?
What do you think that your statement would mean to a Muslim?

  2. The God of the Bible, Yah, Yah Ehyeh, Yahweh, the Father of the only begotten son, Y'shua, our Lord and Savior. As for Islam or any other religion, we both know that the only way to the Father, is through his Word, which manifested in the Son, by which salvation is provided. Y'shua means Yah Saves!

  3. No Keith, the only way to the Father is to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ just as He has said, 'He who has see ME has seen the FATHER' (John 14:9).

And God has many sons, all of us who are born of God are His sons, and Adam is His first son (Luke 3:38).

Jesus is the Lord God Almighty with the title Father, Son and Holy Spirit and He is only CALLED the Son of God because of His incarnation (Luke 1:35).

  4. Yes, Paul, you are correct, when you say we are b'nai Elohim. However, only, in the same way, as Y'shua, we are new creations, Sons of God, by way of the Ruach Hokadesh, the Spirit of God. That is what Luke 1:35 is saying, along with Col 1:15.

  5. Keith, Jesus is not a new creation.
Jesus is God who was in the beginning and He said, "You thought that I was just like you; I will reprove you and state the case in order before your eyes."
Jesus is NOT a sinner who needed to be born again.
And neither is He 'A' son of God, Jesus is GOD called the Son because of His incarnation.

  6. Again, Paul, your beliefs go against what the Bible actually says. I honestly don't know what to say, since you refuse to accept the Bible as the final authority.

  7. Well my friend, I'm the one who quotes the Scripture, buy you always say that the Bible is erroneous.
I think that it is you who does not believe the Scriptures.

The Bible certainly is the authority over me and I would repent quickly if found in error.
But look my friend, the Bible alone is not good enough, a man needs to have the Spirit of God in him, to rightly divide the word of truth.

  8. Hi Paul. Let's state that correctly. I quote the scriptures, while you quote an erroneous English translation. It is that erroneous English translation and your erroneous man made doctrine, that has authority over you.

You are correct, when you say,"...a man needs to have the Spirit of God in him, to rightly divide the word of truth."

  9. Keith, the Bible is the Scriptures or the Word of God and NOT some extra biblical texts. And the Bible is NOT erroneous as you have said, but suitable to correct you in doctrine and in conduct.
You supposed to submit to the Word of God and not be in opposition to the written Word of God.

Yes, the Bible has authority over me and I would repent at any time if proven wrong and convicted by the Spirit of the Lord.
You know, I'm not to proud or to arrogant to repent, for the day of the Lord Jesus Christ is at hand, and He opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.

  10. Paul, All you have to do is investigate. The first English translation came on the scene, around the 7th century, while the earliest Greek and Hebrew transcripts have roots in the time period of 70BC to 159 AD. Most English translations have many doctrinal bias' and have been a tool for Satan, to mislead many, away from the faith, due to apparent discrepancies.

Even though, God's way to salvation has been maintained, in all translations, there are many unintended discrepancies, within these translations. These translations are erroneous, and are not suitable for correction in doctrine and conduct. Look at all the denominational divisions that have occurred because of the erroneous translations.

You are correct, when you say, "You supposed to submit to the Word of God and not be in opposition to the written Word of God." So, why don't you submit yourself, to the Original Word of God, instead of a erroneous translation?

You also said, "Yes, the Bible has authority over me and I would repent at any time if proven wrong and convicted by the Spirit of the Lord.

You say it, but do you honestly mean it? The Spirit of God is not a Spirit of confusion, but one of absolute truth. I have shown you problems with your English translation, but you ignore it. Therefore, by your own admission, the spirit of the lord, within you, is ignoring it. Does that sound like the Spirit of the Lord? Absolutely Not!!!! The Spirit of the Lord rightly divides his Word and leads the remnant into all truth.

You also said, " I'm not to proud or to(o) arrogant ..." But, you are!!!! Even when the evidence is given to you, you are so proud and arrogant, you won't even investigate for yourself. You continually give your allegiance to man's doctrine and erroneous translations, not the original Word of God.
